Russian forces kill 395 children in Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression, Russian troops have killed 395 children in Ukraine.

The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

“As of the morning of September 27, a total of 1,171 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression. According to the official information provided by juvenile prosecutors, 395 children were killed and more than 776 received injuries of various degrees of severity,” the report says.

It is noted that these figures are not final, as work is underway in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region - 401, Kharkiv region - 231, Kyiv region - 116, Mykolaiv region - 72, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 64, Kherson region - 55, Zaporizhzhia region – 47, and Dnipropetrovsk region – 26.

According to the PGO, on September 26, a 13-year-old girl died in the enemy shelling of Pervomaiske, Kharkiv region.

It was established that at the beginning of April, three children were killed in Rubizhne, Luhansk region, as a result of Russian strikes.

On September 26, a 13-year-old girl was wounded in enemy artillery shelling of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region.

Also, it was established that on March 5, a girl was injured in enemy shelling of the village of Buzova, Kyiv region.  On March 7, a 17-year-old boy was injured in Russian strikes on Zolochiv, Kharkiv region.

In addition, regular air strikes and shelling of civilian infrastructure and residential areas by the Russian armed forces damaged 2,500 educational institutions. Of which, 289 were completely destroyed.
