In Russian-occupied Melitopol, explosions heard at airfield, again

A series of explosions has once again rocked the airfield in Melitopol, the town in Zaporizhia region, which has been temporarily captured by Russian invaders.

That’s according to Ivan Fedorov, the local mayor, who broke the news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"At the Melitopol airfield, seized by occupiers, explosions are heard again. The report is being clarified," the mayor wrote in a brief posting.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, over the recent days a number of explosions hit Russian military bases in Melitopol and the area around the town.
