Ukrainian army repels enemy attacks near six settlements

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

The enemy continues to focus its efforts on disrupting the active operations of Ukrainian troops in certain areas, holding the temporarily captured territories and attempting to completely occupy the Donetsk region.

The enemy is shelling Ukrainian positions along the contact line, trying to take measures to regroup troops in certain directions and conducting aerial reconnaissance.

The enemy strikes residential areas and civilian infrastructure, violating the norms of international humanitarian law, laws and customs of war. In the past 24 hours, the enemy damaged infrastructure in more than 30 settlements with air and missile strikes and MLRS. In particular, Kostiantynivka, Druzhkivka, Kupiansk, Siversk, New York, Marinka, Huliaipole, Myrne and Velyke Artakove all came under fire.

The enemy launched 11 missile strikes, 15 airstrikes and used multiple rocket launchers 96 times to hit targets across Ukraine.

The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed.

In other areas, the enemy fired at infrastructure using tanks and artillery.

In northeastern Ukraine, the enemy shelled areas outside the settlement of Luhivka, Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv region, enemy shelling from Russian territory was recorded outside Hoptivka, Kozacha Lopan, Mala Vovcha, Zybyne and Strilecha.

Enemy attacks were also recoded outside Dvorichna and Horokhovatka in the Sloviansk direction, Pryshyb, Tetianivka, Kryva Luka, Ozerne, Pyskunivka, Raihorodok, Starodubivka, Bilohorivka, Siversk, Rozdolivka and Spirne in the Kramatorsk direction, New York, Lyman, Mykolaivka Druha, Zaitseve, Odradivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Yakovlivka and Vesele in the Bakhmut direction, and Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Pervomaiske, Avdiivka and Vodiane in the Avdiivka direction.

The enemy was not active in the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions.

In the Southern Bug direction, enemy artillery fire was recorded along the entire line of contact. In addition, the occupiers carried out aerial reconnaissance using UAVs and carried out 34 operational-tactical aircraft sorties to strike the territory of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The enemy is trying to hide massive losses after Ukrainian strikes on the positions of Russian troops. As a result of effective high-precision strikes outside Kherson, Vasylivka, Perevalsk and other settlements, the bodies of Russian soldiers were taken away in overcrowded trucks.

In the past 24 hours, in order to support the actions of the ground groups, the Ukrainian Air Force carried out 18 strikes on the positions of the enemy's manpower and equipment. It was confirmed that 13 strongholds, areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, and five positions of air defense systems had been hit. Enemy losses are being clarified.

Ukraine's air defense units destroyed two Russian UAVs in different directions.

Units of the rocket and artillery troops struck three areas of concentration of enemy manpower and combat equipment. The enemy's logistics hubs and pontoon crossings were struck.
