The missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have struck nine enemy brigade- and battalion-level command posts, as well as three enemy personnel and military equipment clusters.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The enemy continues to focus its efforts on attempts to fully occupy the Donetsk region, hold the captured territories and disrupt the active actions of Ukrainian forces in certain directions. The enemy continues shelling the Ukrainian positions along the contact line and attempts to take measures to regroup their troops in certain directions; conducts air reconnaissance. The threat of air and missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine,” the report states.

Russian troops continue to attack civilian houses and civil infrastructure objects, violating international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war. Enemy air, missile and artillery strikes caused damage to infrastructure in over 33 settlements, including Kharkiv, Lozova, Siversk, Bilohorivka, Mykolaivka, Verkhniokamianske, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve, Yurivka, New York , Pervomaiske, Kamianka, Vremivka, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaki, Sukhyi Stavok, Kostromka, Bila Krynytsia and Myrne.

Over the past day, Russian occupiers have launched three missile strikes, 33 air strikes and 58 rocket artillery strikes on military and civilian objects on the territory of Ukraine.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation remained rather unchanged.

In the rest of directions, Russian troops used tanks, mortars and artillery to open fire on local infrastructure as follows:

in the Siverskyi direction – near the Chernihiv region’s Senkivka and the Sumy region’s Stepne;

in the Kharkiv direction – Basove and Kupiansk;

In the Chaplynka district, Kherson region, Russian occupiers get accommodated in the homes of local residents, evicting the owners from their houses in some places.

According to the General Staff, Russian troops suffer significant losses in terms of personnel on a daily basis and make attempts to compensate them in different ways. The military command continues to search for those willing to fight among prisoners, namely across the correctional facilities in the Tula region. Recruiters promise convicts to have their criminal records removed in exchange for a three-month service period. For recidivists or those convicted of particularly serious crimes, the service period will be six months. However, no contracts are signed with those who show interest.

In addition, the so-called ‘reservists’ are being recruited to the 3rd Army Corps. Among those already recruited, there are many drug and alcohol addicts. Also, forced mobilization in the city of Horlivka shows that there are unit staffing issues: the so-called local ‘military commissars’ were instructed to recruit 6,000 people. Men are being wanted and detained in the city, causing mass dissatisfaction among local residents.

Over the past day, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have successfully repelled enemy attacks near Spirne, Maiorsk, Odradivka, Vesela Dolyna, Vodiane, Avdiivka, Bezimenne and Novohryhorivka.

During the day, in order to provide support for ground forces, Ukraine’s air force units struck enemy personnel and military equipment clusters 12 times.

In addition, the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units destroyed two enemy aircraft (Su-25 and Su-24M), one Mi-8 helicopter and one UAV in different directions.
