Ukraine is undertaking in de-occupied territories a series of “stabilization” measures, which have nothing to do with the filtration carried out by the invasion forces.

That’s according to the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, Ukrinform reported from a briefing at the Ukraine - Ukrinform media center on Tuesday, September 13.

"This is about the work of law enforcement and security services. This is about identifying possible collaborators in the de-occupied areas and restoration governance there. That is, these processes are being run in parallel lines in order to immediately engage with and help of the local population," said the head of the region.

Kyrylenko noted that he offered a short answer "so as not to reveal all the details of how it is happening."

But he emphasized that these stabilization measures cannot be compared with the filtration carried out by the invaders as these are completely different sets of measures.

"But I will tell you for sure that none of the stabilization steps are in any way aimed at applying any punitive measures and neither are they of such a cruel nature. They are directed exclusively toward restoring governance and protecting the rights and freedoms of residents in communities. I would rather not use the word ‘filtration’ as it’s what the occupiers do, and this is simply about humiliating a person in disregard for any freedoms and rights," explained Kyrylenko.

The official reiterated the fact that stabilization measures are aimed at bringing the situation back into the framework of Ukrainian legislation and prosecuting those who acted and continue to act beyond such framework.

As reported, in Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces pushed Russian Guard units from the territories previously held by the enemy. The Ukrainian Army is continuing offensive operations.
