Russian forces hit Kharkiv’s densely populated district

Russian troops shelled a densely populated residential area of ​​Kharkiv. Reports on casualties are being verified.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported the news on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Another shelling of Kharkiv. Nemyshlyansky district is now under attack. According to tentative reports, it’s a strike on a densely populated residential area. There is no military infrastructure nearby. Information about the victims and destruction is being clarified," Terekhov wrote.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, around 16:45 local time, Kharkiv came under Russian missile fire, for the second this day. Before that, at around 13:00, Russians fired their Uragan MLR systems at the Kyivskyi and Osnovianskyi districts, killing one and injuring six, four of which are receiving medical assistance in local hospitals.

According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the invaders attacked critical infrastructure facilities, resulting in a blackout across the city, which also led to disruption of water supply. As municipal electric transport was brought to a halt, subway staffers led passengers through tunnels to the nearest stations.

Later, the regional prosecutor's office reported that a local enterprise, administrative building, and a number of vehicles were hit by Russian strikes.
