Russian aggression kills 383 children in Ukraine

As result of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian forces, 383 children were killed in the country, according to data provided by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office.

“As of the morning of September 7, 2022, more than 1,125 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information provided by juvenile prosecutors, 383 children were killed and more than 742 received injuries of various degrees of severity,” the PGO wrote on Telegram.

It is noted that these figures are not final, as work is underway in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region - 389, Kharkiv region - 205, Kyiv region - 116, Mykolaiv region - 72, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 61, Kherson region - 55, and Zaporizhzhia region - 46.

On September 6, a child died in enemy shelling in the Bashtanka district of Mykolaiv region.

Also, a 17-year-old teenager was wounded in Russian shelling in Pechenihy town of the Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region.

In addition, regular air strikes and shelling of civilian infrastructure and residential areas by the Russian armed forces damaged 2,472 educational institutions. Of which, 289 were completely destroyed.

As Ukrinform reported, since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 238 children are considered missing.
