The Ukrainian defenders eliminated 106 Russian soldiers and destroyed six dozen enemy equipment units, including 14 tanks, in the southern direction over the past day.

"The situation in the southern operational zone is still difficult, but under control. We are relentlessly destroying the enemy's logistical routes and reserves, control points, and the enemy's morale. Positional battles are ongoing, our fire resistance does not allow the enemy to hold the occupied positions," the Operational Command "South" posted on Facebook.

As noted, three invaders, two T-62 tanks, an airborne assault vehicle, BTR-82, and many weapons with ammunition were captured.

Over the past day, the enemy launched eight airstrikes on the Ukrainian positions.

In response, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched 22 strikes, while missile and artillery units performed more than 400 missions.

The enemy suffered the following losses: 106 soldiers and six dozen pieces of equipment, including 14 T-72 and T-62 tanks, Msta-B howitzer, an airborne self-propelled artillery and mortar system, two Uragan MLRS, three 152mm howitzers, 120mm mobile mortar system, two recon UAVs, and 35 armored personnel vehicles.

"A command and observation post of Russia’s 205th separate motorized rifle brigade in Snihurivka, a pontoon crossing near Kozatske, three ammunition depots in Kherson and Beryslav districts, two combat supply points were hit," the Ukrainian military specified.

The Operational Command "South" added that the naval group of the enemy forces in the Black Sea continues to keep 16 Kalibr missiles on alert aboard two missile carriers.

As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 48,700 Russian soldiers from February 24 to September 2.
