Russian forces attempting to restore supply lines in southern Ukraine – General Staff

The enemy is concentrating its efforts on establishing full control over the Donetsk region and keeping control of the captured areas of the Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv regions.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning war update posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

The enemy continues to launch air and missile strikes on military and civilian objects across Ukraine, the report said.

The situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia directions. Belarusian army units continue to carry out the task of strengthening the protection of the section of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the Brest and Gomel regions.

The threat remains of the enemy launching missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of Belarus.

On the northeastern axis, the enemy continues to keep separate units of the Russian armed forces in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions. The enemy, using field artillery, shelled civilian and military infrastructure outside the settlements of Kamianska Sloboda and Zaliznyi Mist in the Chernihiv region.

In the Kharkiv direction, using tanks, combat vehicles, field and rocket artillery, the enemy shelled the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure outside the settlements of Klenove, Dementiivka, Ruski Tyshkyi, Velyki Prokhody, Petrivka, Peremoha, Bairak, and Shevelivka. The enemy continues conducting aerial reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles.

In the Sloviansk direction, enemy forces used tanks, mortars, guns and multiple rocket launchers near Krasnopillia, Virnopillia, and Hrushuvakha. They conducted aerial reconnaissance using UAVs.

In the Donetsk direction, the enemy continues to conduct active combat operations, concentrating their main efforts on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy used field and rocket artillery outside the settlements of Raihorodok, Berestove, Rozdolivka, Tetianivka, Mala Piskunivka, Verkhniokamianske, Ivano-Darivka, and Siversk.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy shelled military and civilian infrastructure near Bakhmutske, Soledar, Yakovlivka, Maiorsk, and Dyliivka. Enemy units tried to conduct offensive operations outside the settlements of Vesela Dolyna and Zaitseve.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy used field and rocket artillery, and tanks outside the settlements of Opytne, Pervomaiske, and New York. The enemy launched airstrikes on the areas of the settlements of Vremivka, Neskuchne, and Oleksandropil.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy shelled the positions of Ukrainian troops using tanks, guns, mortars and multiple rocket launcher systems outside the settlement of Zolota Nyva. An airstrike was launched near Marinka. The enemy conducted an offensive battle outside the settlement of Vodiane, though with no success.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces shelled the positions of Ukrainian defenders using field and rocket artillery and tanks outside the settlements of Novopil, Olhivske, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Novoyakovlivka, Dorozhnianka, Zelene Pole, Charivne, and Bilohiria.

In the Southern Bug direction, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on keeping control of the occupied positions. The enemy is taking measures to replenish losses. The enemy used tanks, field and rocket artillery along the contact line. Civilian and military infrastructure came under fire outside the settlements of Stepova Dolyna, Novomykolaivka, Stepove, Partyzanske, Andriivka, Myrne, Prybuzke, Mykolaivka, Zoria, Luch, Ivanivka, and Kniazivka. UAVs were actively used for aerial reconnaissance. The enemy is trying to restore the logistical support of its troops.

The enemy grouping of ships continues to focus its efforts on conducting reconnaissance and blocking civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
