Ukrainian forces repel Russian attacks in six directions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled Russian attacks in the Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Novopavlivka, and Southern Bug directions. Near the village of Potiomkine, Kherson region, the enemy suffered losses and was forced to retreat.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a Facebook post.

According to the General Staff, as of 18:00 on August 29, Russian troops continued to launch air and missile strikes on civilian objects across Ukraine.

The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly. The threat of missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of Belarus remains.

In the Siversky (northeastern) direction, the enemy shelled territories near Yanzhulivka, Chernihiv region, and Starykove and Vilna Sloboda, Sumy region, using barrel artillery.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy shelled civilian infrastructure outside Udy, Slatyne, Svitlychne, Bairak, Peremoha, Kutuzivka, Chepil, Husarivka, Ruski Tyshky and Zalyman using tanks, combat vehicles, barrel and jet artillery.

In the Sloviansk direction, artillery fire was recorded near Dovhenke, Nortsivka, Chervone, Sulyhivka, Ridne, Adamivka, and Sloviansk. The occupiers tried to improve their tactical position in the directions of Bohorodychne and Dolyna, but were unsuccessful and retreated.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy continues to use artillery systems outside Hryhorivka, Ivano-Darivka, and Tetianivka. The enemy used aircraft for strikes near Hryhorivka and Tetianivka. The attempt to advance in the direction of the settlement of Ivano-Dariivka failed for the occupiers. They suffered losses and retreated.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy shelled military and civilian infrastructure in the areas of Vesela Dolyna, Maiorsk, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Kodema. Russian aircraft strikes were also recorded near the last two. Ukraine's defense forces repelled the enemy offensive in the direction of the settlements of Soledar, Vesela Dolyna, Bakhmut and Kodema.

In the Avdiivka direction, the areas of Avdiivka, Opytne, Nevelske, Pervomaiske, Novobakhmutivka and Oleksandropil came under enemy fire. The enemy tried to advance in the direction of Marinka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske with offensive and assault operations, but received a rebuff and retreated.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy fired at the positions of Ukrainian troops using tanks, barrel artillery, and MLRS near Pavlivka, Volodymyrivka, Vremivka, Novosilka, and Shevchenko. Air strikes were launched near Volodymyrivka. The occupiers also unsuccessfully tried to advance in the direction of Pavlivka.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, enemy shelling was recorded outside the settlements of Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Chervone, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Berezove, Bilohiria, Stepove and Kamianske. The occupiers tried to inflict losses on Ukrainian units near Mali Shcherbaky with air strikes.

In the Southern Bug direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Mykolaiv, Lupareve, Tavriiske, Prybuzke, Posad-Pokrovske, Ukrainka, Liubomyrivka, Zoria, Myrne, Kvitneve, Kyselivka, Kobzartsi, Bereznehuvate, Vysunsk, Yavkine, Velyke Artakove, Topolyne and Kniazivka using artillery and tanks. The areas of Andriivka and Kalynivka were hit by air strikes.

With assault and offensive operations, the enemy tried to improve their tactical position near Potiomkyne, but suffered losses and retreated.

The enemy continues intensive aerial reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles.

In the Black and Azov Seas, the enemy's ship group performs the task of maintaining a favorable operational regime and blocking civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
