Russians once again shelled Mykolaiv region, causing more destruction

In Mykolaiv region, police are working at the scenes of Russian strikes at the populated areas.

That’s according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that overnight Sunday, August 28, Russian troops once again shelled the outskirts of the Shyroke. Information on damage and victims is being verified.

Also, after yesterday's shelling in one of Mykolaiv's districts, the police reported damage to four private garages.

A local man, 52, was injured as a result of an explosion in Liubomyrivka, Mykolaiv district.

Residential buildings and agricultural premises were destroyed in Shyroke, the Ministry of Internal Affairs added.

"Into all these facts, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ‘violation of the laws and customs of war,’” the statement says.

As reported earlier, more than 9,800 civilian objects have been damaged in Mykolayiv region since war-start.
