Ukraine’s Armed Forces neutralize enemy recon group in Southern Buh direction

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its latest operational update posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the building up of forces and means of signals intelligence continues. In the Siverskyi direction, the enemy continues to keep separate units of the Western Military District in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions in order to demonstrate the presence and constrain the actions of Ukrainian defense units. The enemy shelled the district of Tovstodubove village in Sumy region with barrel artillery," the report says.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy used barrel and jet artillery to shell civil infrastructure facilities near Svitlychne, Peremoha, Protopopivka, Dementiivka, Petrivka, Cherkaski Tyshki, Odnorobivka, Zamulivka, and Tsyrkuny settlements. An air strike was recorded near Husarivka. The enemy attempted an assault operation to advance in the direction of Dementiivka but had not success and retreated.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy used barrel artillery and MLRS to shell Dolyna, Dibrivne, and Krasnopillia districts. It also conduct aerial reconnaissance near Nova Dmytrivka. The invaders deployed an electronic warfare system in order to disrupt Ukrainian forces’ navigation support system.

In the Kramatorsk direction, areas near Sydorove, Verkhniokamianske, Rozdolivka and Kalenyky were subjected to enemy artillery fire. To clarify the position of Ukrainian troops, the enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs.

 It is noted that the Ukrainian forces repelled an enemy attack attempt in the direction of Hryhorivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy fired at Ukrainian defenders from available weapons in the areas of Bakhmutske, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve and Kodema settlements. Enemy air strikes hit the areas of Zaitseve and Soledar. Separate units of the enemy attempted to improve the tactical position in the direction of Soledar, Zaitseve and Mayorsk settlements but failed and retreated.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy tried to destroy important civil and military infrastructure facilities using tanks, barrel and rocket artillery, as well as to inflict losses on Ukrainian units near Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Zalizne and Novobakhmutivka. Air strikes hit Mariinka and Valentynivka districts.

The occupiers attempted offensive operations to advance in the direction of Nevelske, were repulsed and then retreated. The enemy also conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs.

In the Novopavlivka direction, enemy units continued shelling the areas of Vuhledar, Novomykhailivka and Velyka Novosilka settlements with the available means of fire damage. Enemy air strike near Volodymyrivka were recorded. Russian forces also attempted an offensive battle in the direction of Prechystivka, had no success and retreated.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy inflicted fire damage near Novopil, Huliaipilske, Charivne and Shevchenko. The occupiers also launched air strikes on the districts of Novopil, Huliaipilske, Novodanylivka and Olhivske.

In the Southern Buh direction, the main efforts of the enemy are focused on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. The areas of Nikopol, Oleksandrivka, Stepova Dolyna, Kobzartsi, Ternivka, Topolyne, Andriivka, and Lozove came under enemy shelling. The invaders used tanks, barrel artillery, and multiple rocket systems. The occupiers also launched air strikes on Velyke Artakove, Pervomaiske and Olhyne. The enemy reconnaissance group attempted to conduct reconnaissance in the Potiomkyne area bur was detected and neutralized.
