Ukrainian forces destroy enemy air defense systems in Kherson

In the south, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 24 Russian invaders and a significant amount of enemy equipment, struck air defense systems and ammunition depots.

The Operational Command South said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

“The situation in our area of responsibility is consistently tense, but under the control of the Defense Forces. The enemy continues to conduct combat actions along the occupied defense line. There are no significant changes in the composition and position. At noon, the sabotage and reconnaissance group of the enemy, in the number of about 10 people, attempted assault actions in the direction of Dobropillia - Dobrianka. It had no success and retreated. In other actions, the tactics of remote shelling and airstrikes prevail," the report reads.

In the past day, Russian forces launched four air strikes and one missile attack.

The enemy fired two rockets from the Smerch multiple launch rocket systems at Mykolaiv, targeting open surfaces outside the city. There are no losses and destructions.

Enemy attack aircraft and helicopters operated along the contact line. There were no losses among Ukrainian defenders.

According to the operational command, the tactical aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the enemy's air defense systems in Kherson, a stronghold in Novi Petrivtsi, and a cluster of manpower and equipment there, as well as in Olhyne.

Ukrainian missile and artillery units completed more than 250 fire missions. The confirmed losses of the enemy are: 24 soldiers, two Smerch systems, three Giatsint self-propelled guns, one Pion self-propelled artillery gun, one Nona self-propelled mortar system, five units of armored and motor equipment. In addition, ammunition deports were destroyed in the area of Inzhenerne and Chornobaivka.

It is noted that the final losses of the enemy are being specified.
