Armed Forces of Ukraine make Russian troops retreat in five directions

The Armed Forces of Ukraine made the Russian troops retreat in Kharkiv, Kramatorsk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Southern Buh directions. The Ukrainian defenders inflicted losses on the enemy in several areas.

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, August 25, published on Facebook.

The situation in Volyn and Polissya directions has not changed significantly. There is still a threat of enemy missile and air strikes from the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

In Siversky direction, the Russian Federation continues to keep separate units of its troops in the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions to demonstrate the presence and constrain the actions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The invaders fired tube artillery on civilian infrastructure in the areas of Hai, Zaliznyi Mist, Hirsk of Chernihiv region and Bachivsk, Vilna Sloboda, and Stukalivka of Sumy region. The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance of the border areas.

In Kharkiv direction, Russian troops struck the areas of Odnorobivka, Tsupivka, Prudianka, Bazaliyivka, Tsyrkuny, Petrivka, Velyki Prokhody, Pytomnyk, Ivanivka, Korobochkyne, Slobozhanske, and Chepil with tanks, tube and rocket artillery. The areas of Pytomnyk, Pryshyb, and Zalyman were hit with enemy aircraft.

The invaders made an unsuccessful attempt to attack near Petrivka. As a result, they suffered losses and retreated. The enemy maintains a high intensity of drone reconnaissance.

In Slovyansk direction, the enemy used tanks, tube artillery, and multiple rocket launchers to shell the areas near Velyka Komyshuvakha, Krasnopillia, Nova Dmytrivka, Dolyna, and Dibrivne.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled an attempted Russian attack near Dolyna and Dmytrivka.

In Kramatorsk direction, the areas of Spirne, Zvanivka, Siversk, and Pryshyb came under Russian fire. The invaders made an attempt to improve their tactical position near Staryi Karavan but did not succeed and retreated.

In Bakhmut direction, the Russian troops continued to shell the territories near Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, Zaytseve, and Kodema. The areas of Soledar, Zaytseve, Kodema, and Yakovlivka were hit with enemy aircraft.

Russian troops tried to advance near Kodema and Bakhmutske, but suffered losses and retreated.

In Avdiivka direction, the invaders tried to push back the Ukrainian units, to hit important objects of military and civilian infrastructure in the areas of Avdiivka, Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Nevelske, Pervomayske, Vodiane, Zalizne, and Oleksandropol.

The enemy tried to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops in Pervomayske district but was repulsed and retreated.

Enemy shelling near Pavlivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Novomykhailivka was recorded in Novopavlivka direction. The invaders also launched airstrikes near Volodymyrivka, Vuhledar, and Pavlivka.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russians shelled the Ukrainian positions near Huliaypilske, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shevchenko, and Olhivske. The areas of Orikhiv, Huliaypilske, Shcherbaky, and Mali Shcherbaky were hit with enemy aircraft.

In Southern Buh direction, the Russian troops focused their efforts on holding the occupied positions and hitting the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy opened fire from tube, rocket artillery and tanks along the contact line and launched an airstrike near Bila Krynytsia.

In the area of Blahodatne, the invaders tried to conduct combat reconnaissance but suffered losses and retreated.

The attempted offensive of the Russian troops near Tavriyske was suppressed by the Ukrainian fire.
