Russian drone shot down over Sumy region

During the day, the enemy launched several attacks on the border communities of Sumy region. Meanwhile, Ukrainian defenders shot down a Russian drone.

"Some good news before bed: an enemy drone was shot down over Sumy district this evening," Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, posted on Facebook.

At the same time, according to the head of the region, at around 17:00, an enemy UAV dropped an explosive device on the territory of Velyka Pysarivka community.

At 11:00, a mortar fire was opened from the territory of the Russian Federation on Khotin community. The enemy also opened fire from a heavy machine gun.

"Bilopillia community: a mortar attack was launched at 12:30. From 12:30, the enemy also shelled the community with tube artillery," Zhyvytskyy added.

According to preliminary data, there were no losses or destructions.
