Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners destroyed five UAVs and one Ka-52 in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia directions.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Command “Center” reported this on Facebook.

The Command noted that the Russian occupiers try to find weak points in the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine every day, so they actively deploy operational-tactical UAVs of various modifications to conduct reconnaissance and adjust military fire. However, the Command stressed the occupiers were never destined to reach Ukrainian advanced positions.

"Combat squads coped well with the assigned tasks. They quickly identified enemy targets and destroyed them in a timely manner. For example, over the past four days, due to coordinated work, our defenders downed 5 UAVs, destroyed one Ka-52 in the east," the report reads.

Enemy equipment was destroyed in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk directions.

As reported by Ukrinform, from February 24 to August 19, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 44,700 Russian troops.
