During the meeting, the ambassador informed the defense minister about the situation in Ukraine in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine, and also expressed gratitude for the unprecedented military assistance provided by Estonia.

"Minister Hanno Pevkur reaffirmed that Estonia will continue to support Ukraine, including through additional military aid," the embassy said.

Both parties also discussed further steps as part of bilateral cooperation in the defense sector, taking into account Russia's ongoing military aggression, as well as the issue of assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Estonia.
