Over the past day, in the southern direction, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 23 Russian troops, as well as destroyed a Pantsir-S1 missile system, a T-72 tank, and a Msta-S self-propelled howitzer

That’s according to Operational Command South, Ukrinform reports.

"The situation in our operational zone is steadily tense. The enemy continues to wage hostilities along the occupied defense lines. There were no significant changes in their composition and positions. Enemy army aviation has been testing out our positions with single and group helicopter strikes. They had no success as no losses were inflicted," the report says.

At the same time, the attack aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a cluster of enemy manpower, weapons, and equipment near Snihurivka. The outcome of the strike are being verified.

As Ukrainian missile and artillery units engaged the invasion forces, the following losses have been confirmed: 23 servicemen, an anti-aircraft missile and gun complex Pantsir-S1, a T-72 tank, a Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, and five vehicles, including armored ones.

"In the Black Sea, two Kalibr-type cruise missile carriers carrying a total of 16 missiles and a large landing craft remained on combat duty. Just like the group of six warships and cutters of the enemy's fleet, they are kept at a missile-safe distance off the Ukraine-controlled coast," the statement notes.

As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 42,340 Russian invaders from February 24 to August 8.
