War update: Ukraine repulses Russian attacks in three operational areas

Ukraine’s Armed Forces have stood their ground against the enemy offensive toward Sloviansk and Bakhmut, while in the Avdiivka area the Russians were forced to retreat, having suffered significant losses.

That’s according to the latest update as of 18:00 Kyiv time, delivered by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

The situation has not changed in the Volyn and Polissya directions. The threat of the enemy missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of the neighboring Belarus remains in place.

In the Siversky direction, enemy artillery opened fire near Yanzhulivka, Mykolayivka, and Zalizny Mist in Chernihiv region, as well as near Nova Huta in Sumy region.

The enemy ran no offensive operations in the Kharkiv direction, resorting to barrel and jet artillery fire targeting the districts of Prudyanka, Duvanka, Zolochiv, and another 27 settlements. Airstrikes were reported near Verkhniy Saltiv, Lebyazhe, and Husarivka.

In the Sloviansk direction, enemy artillery and MLR systems nflicted fire damage in the areas of Velyka Komyshuvakha, Sulihivka, Dovhenke, Dolyna, Mazanivka, Adamivka, Karnaukhivka, Kurulka, Ridne, Dibrivne, Hrushuvaha, Bohorodychne, and Mayak.

Separate Russian units attempted to advance toward the western outskirts of Bohorodychne, with no success, being forced to retreat.

The enemy ran no offensive missions in the Kramatorsk direction, firing tanks and artillery near Siversk, Serebryanka, Verkhnokamyanske, Dronivka, Donetsk, Hryhorivka, Riznykivka, Mykolaivka, Spirne, Zvanivka, Pereizne, Kalenyky, Dolyna, and Vyimka.

In the direction of Bakhmut, enemy shelling was recorded near Bakhmut, Soledar, Zaytseve, Yakovlivka, Kodema, Yuriyvka, Bakhmutske, Berestove, Pokrovske, and Ivanhrad. Russian attack and army aircraft struck the areas near Zaitseve, Soledar, Bakhmut, Berestove, and Yakovlivka.

The occupiers tried to improve the tactical position in the directions of Stryapivka - Bakhmutske, Pokrovske - Soledar, Pokrovske - Bakhmut, Volodymyrivka - Yakovlivka, Vidrodzhenna - Vershyna, and Pokrovske - Vershyna. In all said directions, the enemy was resolutely repulsed by Ukrainian troops, who forced the invaders to retreat.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian barrel and jet artillery shelled the districts of Avdiivka, Pisky, Netailove, Nevelske, and New York. Assault aircraft were active near New York, Krasnohorivka, Pisky, and Maryinka.

In an offensive effort, the Russian invaders tried to penetrate Ukraine’s defenses toward Spartak - Avdiivka, Vesele - Pisky, Novoselivka Druha - Krasnohorivka, Oleksandrivka - Maryinka, Kyrylivka – Pavlivka, and Prechistivka - Novomayorske. Ukrainian soldiers inflicted significant losses on the enemy forces, pushing them back.

On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhia directions, the enemy shelled the areas near Novomykhailivka, Shevchenko, Velyka Novosilka, Zaporizhia, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Zelene Pole, and Charivne. Airstrikes were reported in the areas of Temyrivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Vilne Pole, Novosilka, Vuhledar, Pavlivka, and Prechystivka.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy is trying to hold the occupied ground and prevent the Ukrainian troops from creating favorable conditions for resuming the offensive and liberating the temporarily captured territory. The Russians inflict fire damage along the contact line and in Ukraine’s rare.

The occupiers employed army warplanes to strike the area near Andriivka, while enemy UAVs were spotted flying aerial recon missions.

Four sea-based cruise missile carriers remain in combat readiness for launch in the Black Sea.

There remains a threat of missile strikes on military facilities and infrastructure sites throughout the territory of Ukraine.
