Enemy pushed back in Southern Bug, Avdiivka and Bakhmut directions – General Staff

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As of 06:00 p.m., August 3, 2022, the situation remained rather unchanged in the Volyn, Polissia and Siverskyi directions. In the latter, Russian troops opened fire on Sumy Region’s Seredyna-Buda, Ryzhivka and Zhyravka with cannon artillery.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian invaders used tanks, cannon and rocket artillery to open fire near such settlements as Duvanka, Dementiivka, Zolochiv, Prudianka, Svitlychne, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Lisne, Ruski Tyshki, Cherkaski Tyshky, Petrivka, Mykhailivka, Korobochkyne, Stara Hnylytsia, Mospanove, Pryshyb, Peremoha, Ukrainka, Rubizhne, Verkhnii Saltiv, Staryi Saltiv, Molodova and Velyka Babka. The enemy launched an air strike near Prudianka and conducted air reconnaissance with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) near Petrivka, Fedorivka and Dementiivka. Near Ivanivka, Studenka, Vasylenkove ​​and Hetmanivka, Russian occupiers used radio-electronic warfare means.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian troops opened fire with different artillery systems near Protopopivka, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Mechebylove, Husarivka, Chepil, Nortsivka, Dolyna, Mazanivka, Krasnopillia, Novopavlivka, Dovhenke, Dibrivne, Brazhkivka, Virnopillia, Chervone, Karnaukhivka, Ridne, Adamivka, Bohorodychne and Maiak.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy shelling was recorded near Zvanivka, Starodubivka, Spirne, Siversk, Verkhniokamianske, Pyskunivka and Hryhorivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers used tanks, cannon and rocket artillery to open fire near Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Berestove, Soledar, Yakovlivka, Zaitseve, Travneve, Kodema, Mayorsk, Pidhorodne, Vesela Dolyna, Pokrovske, Krasnopolivka, Bilohorivka and Vesele. The enemy launched air strikes near Bakhmutske, Soledar, Berestove, Yakovlivka and Klynove.

Russian troops carried out assaults near Berestove and in such directions as Volodymyrivka-Yakovlivka, Pokrovske-Bakhmut, Volodymyrivka-Soledar, Vidrodzhennia-Kodema, Vidrodzhennia-Zaytseve, Semihirya-Kodema and Dolomitne-Semyhiria. Ukrainian soldiers repelled all enemy assault attempts, inflicted losses on Russian invaders and pushed them back.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops used tanks and artillery to open fire near New York, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Pisky, Netailove and Kamianka. The enemy attempted to launch an offensive in such directions as Novoselivka Druha-Krasnohorivka, Spartak-Avdiivka, Vasylivka-Krasnohorivka, Mineralne-Avdiivka and Donetsk-Pisky but failed and retreated.

In the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy shelling was recorded near Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Bohoyavlenka, Shevchenko, Volodymyrivka, Pavlivka, Velyka Novosilka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Novopillia, Zelene Pole, Novosilka, Zaliznychne, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske, Mala Tokmachka , Lukianivske, Neskuchne, Poltavka, Mohyla Storozhova, Olhivske, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Chervone, Bilohiria and Vremivka.

The enemy launched air strikes near Novosilka, Novopol and Poltavka. All enemy attempts to advance in the direction of Marinka and Bilohirka were nullified by Ukrainian defenders.

In the Southern Bug direction, Russian troops used tanks, cannon and rocket artillery to open fire near Mykolaiv, Prybuzke, Zoria, Luch, Posad-Pokrovske, Lymany, Lupareve, Partyzanske, Kobzartsi, Nova Zoria, Andriivka, Bila Krynytsia, Chervonyi Yar, Lepetyha, Halytsynove, Liubomyrivka and Chervona Dolyna.

The enemy launched an air strike near the Andriivka tract. In the direction of Bilohirka, Russian troops conducted an offensive battle but had no success and retreated.

The enemy continues to conduct air reconnaissance with UAVs.

In the Black Sea, two enemy Kalibr sea-based cruise missile carriers are ready to use high-precision weapons. The threat of missile strikes on Ukraine’s military and critical infrastructure is persisting.

Meanwhile, according to the General Staff, Russian occupiers are demoralized by the total resistance of the Ukrainian people. It is becoming more and more difficult for the Russian command to replenish military units, suffering losses in the senseless war they have unleashed.

At the same time, the Russian propaganda continues to lie, fabricating non-existent victories and covering up the crimes of the Russian army and its mercenaries.
