U.S. already working on purchase of latest air defense systems for Ukraine - Pentagon

The United States is already in the process of concluding contracts for the purchase of Norwegian NASAMS air defense systems for Ukraine.
That's according to the U.S. Department of Defense, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I do not have the detailed information on the specifics of the contracting process but we are already in the process of procuring the [NASAMS] system [for Ukraine]," a U.S. senior defense official said at a briefing on Saturday.
At the same time, the official did not specify when Ukraine could get these systems.
