Russia should provide lists of Ukrainian defenders killed and wounded as a result of a terrorist attack in Olenivka, Donetsk region.

Ukraine's Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

According to the report, on July 29, the headquarters demanded that representatives of the enemy provide lists of all those killed and wounded by the terrorist attack.

"All the wounded should receive proper medical care, and the bodies of the dead soldiers should be returned for a proper burial. So far, representatives of the occupier have not given any response to the appeal," the report reads.

The headquarters called on the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations, which acted as guarantors of the life and health of Ukrainian prisoners of war, to immediately initiate an international investigation into the crime and seek punishment for all perpetrators. The headquarters also emphasized the need for an international inspection to check the conditions of detention of Ukrainian POWs.

"The crime that occurred in Olenivka grossly violates international law, national legislation and norms of human morality. The punishment for all those involved in planning and carrying out the terrorist attack should be the most severe and inevitable," the headquarters said.

At the same time, it added that "despite this demonstrably cruel crime of the execution of Ukrainian defenders, the Coordination Headquarters continues its work on exchanging and return Ukraine's defenders home."

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada's Human Rights Commissioner, Dmytro Lubinets, said he had submitted a request for information regarding the lists of Ukrainian soldiers killed in Olenivka, but the Ombudsman's Office has not received these lists so far.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian military deliberately fired at a prison in Olenivka, which housed Ukrainian prisoners of war.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, mercenaries from the Wagner private military company carried out the murder of Ukrainian prisoners in the temporarily occupied town of Olenivka, Donetsk region.
