Russians setting up pontoon bridges in Kharkiv region, trying to improve logistics

With the help of pontoon crossings set up across water obstacles, the invaders are trying to improve the logistical support of their units in Kharkiv region.

That’s according to an operational update by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

“In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy inflicted fire damage with the use of barrel and jet artillery, in the area of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Shevelivka, Krasnopillya, and other settlements. With the help of pontoon crossings set up across water obstacles, they are trying to improve the logistical support of their units,” the update reads.

The situation has undergone no significant changes in the Volyn, Polissia, and Siversky directions. The enemy shelled Mykolaivka, Tovstodubove, Volfyne, Senkivka, and a number of other settlements. In addition, they conduct aerial reconnaissance of Ukraine’s defense positions in the areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions close to the Russian border.

In the Slaviansk direction, the enemy fired tanks, barrel and jet artillery in the areas of Nortsivka, Bohorodychne, Dolyna, Chepil, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Adamivka, Mazanivka, Husarivka, and others.

In the Kramatorsk direction, shelling was recorded near Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Spirne, Hryhorivka, Tetianivka, and other settlements. The enemy launched an air strike near Serebrianka, also actively involving drones. The Russians also went on an assault in the area of ​​Verkhnokamianske, seeing no success and being forced to retreat.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy shelled civilian infrastructure, particularly in the districts of Bakhmut, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Pokrovske, and New York. They also engaged in firefights in the area of ​​Soledar, with no success, and ran reconnaissance in force near Semihirya, suffering fire damage and casualties, being forced to withdraw. Currently, firefights are ongoing in the Semihirya and Kodema districts.

In the Avdiyivka, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhia directions, the enemy is systematically shelling civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Pisky, Vremivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Karlivka, Opytne, Vuhledar, Huliaipole, Kamianske and a number of other settlements. An enemy unmanned aerial vehicle was spotted operating in the Pavlohrad area.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. The enemy actively uses UAVs in aerial reconnaissance missions.

helling was recorded near Osokorivka, Trudoliubivka, Tokareve, Kiselivka, Partyzanske, Kavkaz, Lozova, Prybuzke, Poliana, and Lupareve. Airstrikes were reported in the areas of Liubomyrivka and Novomykolaivka.

The enemy carried out assaults in the Bilohirka area, seeing no successful and eventually retreating.

In the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, the enemy's naval group continues to carry out reconnaissance and launch missile strikes on targets across the territory of Ukraine, as well as blocking civilian navigation in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
