Forty-five bodies of fallen servicemen returned to Ukraine

Forty-five more bodies of the fallen servicemen have been returned to Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Temporary Occupied Territories Reintegration Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Another operation for the exchange of bodies of the fallen servicemen took place. Ukraine has brought back 45 bodies of its defenders,” the report states.

The operation was carried out in cooperation with Commissioner on Persons Gone Missing Oleh Kotenko and Ukrainian military and security services in accordance with the Geneva Conventions.

A reminder that, on June 30, 2022, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister, Temporary Occupied Territories Reintegration Minister Iryna Vereshchuk stated that a total of 300 bodies of the fallen Ukrainian defenders and citizens had been returned to Ukraine since the Russian invasion started.
