Police identify most of those killed by missile strike on Chasiv Yar

Law enforcement officers have identified most of those killed by a Russian missile attack on Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region.

That's according to the National Police, Ukrinform reports.

"Search operations continue for the fourth day in the city of Chasiv Yar, where on July 9 the Russian military destroyed a five-story building. The enemy launched three strikes on civilian infrastructure. All these days, the police are guarding the site of the incident around the clock, while the rubble is being dismantled, and they are also identifying the bodies," the report reads.

According to Ruslan Osypenko, head of the Donetsk region police, 11 bodies remain unidentified.

Police officers asked citizens whose relatives lived in Chasiv Yar and could have been affected to report this to the police.

Osypenko noted that the entire Donetsk region is subject to air strikes. The hottest destinations are Bakhmut, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Kostiantynivka.

The police are taking measures to evacuate civilians and document all Russian war crimes. The materials will be sent to the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) and the investigative department.

As of 09:00 on July 13, the death toll in a missile attack by Russian troops on the town of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region has increased to 47.
