Ukraine Army firmly suppresses enemy attempts to conduct assault operations in Kharkiv direction

Ukrainian defenders have firmly suppressed the enemy’s attempts to conduct assault operations in the direction of Dementiivka.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy opened fire with artillery and multiple launch rocket systems near the city of Kharkiv and such settlements as Ruski Tyshky, Bezruky, Dementiivka, Lisne, Slatyne, Prudianka and Zolochiv,” the report states.

As of 06:00 a.m., July 12, 2022, the situation remained rather unchanged in the Volyn, Polissia and Siverskyi directions. In the latter, Russian troops shelled Sumy Region’s Starykove with rocket artillery.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian invaders continued assault operations in order to improve their tactical position near Mazanivka, Ivanivka and Dolyna. Ukrainian defenders pushed the enemy back.

Russian troops used cannon and rocket artillery near such settlements as Chepil, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Barvinkove, Dibrovne, Mazanivka, Bohorodychne and Adamivka.

The enemy is attempting to improve its tactical position in the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka directions. Russian invaders are systematically firing at Ukrainian positions all over the contact line to restrain the Ukrainian defense forces.

The enemy is using attack and combat aviation. In certain areas, Russian troops are building field defenses at the frontline positions.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops did not take active actions. The enemy launched artillery strikes near such settlements as Starodubivka, Maiaky, Raihorodok, Siversk, Kryva Luka, Donetske, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and an air strike near Serebrianka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian invaders used tanks, cannon and rocket artillery to open fire near such settlements as Yakovlivka, Berestove, Pokrovske, Soledar, Bilohorivka, Vershyna, Novoluhanske, Kodema, Bakhmut and Vesela Dolyna. The enemy launched air strikes near Berestove, Bilohorivka and Vershyna.

In the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, Russian occupiers launched artillery strikes on Avdiivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Novoselivka, Opytne, Novobakhmutivka, Vuhledar, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Stepove and Kamianske. The enemy also launched an air strike with a pair of Su-25 aircrafts near Novoandriivka.

In the Southern Bug direction, Russian troops are focusing efforts to maintain the captured frontiers and prevent the Ukrainian defense forces from advancing. In order to restrain Ukrainian forces, the enemy opened fire with cannon artillery near such settlements as Stepova Dolyna, Lupareve, Nova Zoria, Novohryhorivka, Liubomyrivka, Osokorivka, Olhyne, Velyka Kostromka, Karierne, Ternivka, Poliana, Kyselivka, Pervomaiske, Shevchenkove, Posad-Pokrovske, Ukrainka and Prybuzke. Russian invaders launched air strikes near Zarichne.

In the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, one enemy Kalibr cruise missile carrier is remaining ready to fire missiles at the territory of Ukraine.

Ukraine’s aviation, rocket and artillery units continue to hit Russia’s ammunition depots, manpower and military equipment clusters.
