Russian troops are attempting to advance from Luhansk Region to the first settlements of Donetsk Region.

The relevant statement was made by Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Haidai on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“It may seem that the occupiers are conducting the offensive to the west of Lysychansk, and that’s it. But, we are attempting to hold back Russian formations all over the front line. They continue attempts to break deep into the neighboring region along the administrative border. They are attacking from several directions. Where it is inconvenient to them to move forward, they create real hell, continuously shelling the areas on the horizon. Thus, danger is coming everywhere, from Kreminna to Popasna,” Haidai noted.

Last night Russian troops launched eight artillery strikes, three mortar strikes and nine missile strikes.

Over the past day, Russian invaders have been slightly successful and continue the offensive to the west of Lysychansk.

“We have not noticed any pause in operations, announced by the enemy, so far. The enemy attacks and opens fire on Ukrainian territories as intensively as before. Our military keep the defense bravely,” Haidai added.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russia started a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, opening fire on Ukrainian cities and villages with artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, air bombs and ballistic missiles.
