EU sends personal protective equipment worth EUR 1M to Ukrainian border guards

The European Union handed over personal protective equipment worth EUR 977,000 to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“As part of the EU Support to Strengthening Integrated Border Management in Ukraine (EU4IBM), border guards received personal protective equipment, including helmets and bulletproof vests, for a total sum of more than EUR 977,000," the State Border Guard Service wrote on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that procurement is currently underway to meet other needs of the services, including the purchase of additional personal protective equipment, diesel generators, cameras, etc.

As reported, the United States provided Ukrainian law enforcement officers with equipment worth $5.3 million.
