Zelensky: Ukraine flag to fly in Crimea

Ukrinform
President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine is convinced that the country’s flag will eventually fly over the currently temporarily occupied Crimea, just as it now flies on Snake Island.

The Head of State said this in his "One minute. One thought" video address on Instagram overnight Friday, Ukrinform reports

"Those doomed to crawl won’t take away even Snake Island from those who are bound to fly. That is why the blue and yellow (flag, - ed.) is back on the island, and one day it will definitely be on the peninsula, as well as in all our occupied cities and villages , while our national anthem will be played in each of them," Zelensky is convinced.

As reported, in early July, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces completed a military operation to clear Snake Island of the equipment and weapons of Russian invaders who had fled the island to the temporarily occupied Crimea. The flag of Ukraine was delivered to the island.

According to Forbes, the Russians lost almost 1 billion dollars worth of equipment and weapons on Snake Island and in surrounding waters. The biggest loss of the invading army was the Black Sea Fleet flagship, the Moskva missile cruiser, worth $750 million, which had taken part in the capture of the island.
