Ben Hodges stands against restrictions on arms supplies to Ukraine

Ex-Commander EUCOM General Ben Hodges says he does not agree with the policy of restrictions on supplies of certain types of weapons to Ukraine, including warplanes.

The U.S. general hopes for a shift in such policy, he told Guildhall, according to Ukrinform.

“I would support giving Ukraine everything it needs to win. I disagree with the policy about not providing aircraft. Ukrainians know how to do things, they learn very quickly, they adapt very quickly. I don't accept any, I don't agree with any exclusions or justifications to not do this. I hope that the policy will change,” Hodges said.

“It would (affect the conflict - ed.) of course, more aviation will enable Ukraine to attack the logistical support and the headquarters which Russians need to keep launching artillery and rockets,” the general concluded.

Earlier, U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer said that, if Ukraine is not protected, a NATO member country may become the next object of Russian aggression, which will lead to direct military intervention by the United States of America.
