Russian troops seize Zolotarivka in Lysychansk direction

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As of 06:00 p.m., July 3, 2022, Russian invaders continued to launch missile strikes on Ukraine’s civilian objects.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, there are no significant changes in the position and nature of the activities of the Belarusian armed forces.

In the Siverskyi direction, Russian troops launched artillery and mortar strikes on Sumy Region’s border settlements, Bachivsk and Vovkivka.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian occupiers are focusing  efforts to prevent Ukrainian forces from advancing towards the state border. The enemy launched artillery strikes near such settlements as Zolochiv, Khrestyshche, Malynivka, Cherkaska Lozova and Chepil.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian invaders launched artillery strikes near such settlements as Dolyna, Kurulka, Bohorodychne, Adamivka and Husarivka. Ukrainian forces repelled the assault in the direction of Pasika-Dolyna.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops forced a crossing over the Siverskyi Donets. The enemy is trying to develop success and seize Bilohorivka. Russian invaders continue to fire at Ukrainian forces in order to constrain their actions. Artillery fire was recorded near Hryhorivka and Bilohorivka.

In the Lysychansk direction, Russian troops opened fire on Zolotarivka and Verkhniokamianka with cannon artillery. The enemy conducted assault operations in the direction of Zolotarivka and seized it.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers opened fire on Soledar, Pokrovske, Bakhmut, and Klynove with artillery.

Ukrainian defenders successfully repulsed offensive actions in the direction of Nyrkove-Berestove. The enemy attempted to conduct reconnaissance in fighting in the direction of Vasylivka-Berestove but failed. Russian troops onducted assault operations in the Vovchoiarivka-Spirne and Mykolaivka-Spirne directions, but suffered significant losses and retreated.

In the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, in order to restrain Ukrainian forces, Russian troops opened fire with artillery near such settlements as Avdiivka, Pisky, Novomykhailivka, Vremivka, Huliaipole, Charivne. The enemy launched air strikes near Kamianka, Avdiivka and Shevchenko.

In the Southern Bug direction, Russian troops are focusing efforts to prevent Ukrainian forces from advancing in the possible offensive areas. The enemy is taking measures to ensure logistic support and engineering equipment of their positions.

The aggressor continues to launch missile attacks on military and civil infrastructure facilities in the Mykolaiv direction in order to reduce the offensive capabilities of Ukrainian forces.
