Russian invaders have fully seized the city of Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk Region, and appointed a ‘commandant’. Now they are filming propagandist videos with civilians, who are leaving bomb shelters at the Azot plant.

The relevant statement was made by Sievierodonetsk City Military Civil Administration Head Oleksandr Striuk during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The city is now under the full occupation of Russia. They are trying to establish their own order. As far as I know they have appointed some kind of ‘commandant’, who is now gathering some ‘active core’,” Striuk told.

In his words, the city has been seriously damaged, and it will be difficult for civilians to survive there. However, the most vital medicines have been stocked at a local hospital in advance to ensure that medical aid can be provided in case of emergency.

According to Striuk, civilians began to leave bomb shelters at the Azot plant, and Russian invaders are filming propagandist videos with them.

“These people have spent about three months in bomb shelters, basements. It is difficult for them emotionally, psychologically. Now they require aid, medical and psychological,” Striuk noted.

At the moment, civilians can leave for Russian-occupied territories only. It is impossible to evacuate people through the contact line, Striuk added.

A reminder that Sievierodonetsk has been practically ruined in Russia’s continuous shelling. According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Haidai, critical infrastructure was destroyed completely, and about 80% of residential houses need to be demolished, as they were seriously damaged.
