In the southern regions of Ukraine, the country’s defense forces have eliminated 20 Russian invaders, destroyed several units of military equipment, and two ammunition depots over the past day.

This was reported on Facebook by Operational Command South, according to Ukrinform.

“The situation in an operational zone on the Mykolaiv-Kherson direction is difficult, but controlled. The enemy continues to employ counterbattery tactics on the lines of defense. The Ka52 helicopter struck our positions but quickly retreated under our heavy fire," the statement reads.

Throughout the day, the enemy carried out three missile strikes on Ukraine’s southern regions. Mykolaiv suffered a massive strike by seven Onyx missiles. Industrial and civilian infrastructure has been affected. Fires broke out in several districts as a result. According to updated data, a civilian was killed and two were injured by the strike.

In addition, Ukraine’s defense units have downed over the Black Sea area both enemy missiles launched at the Odesa region.

A military operation is underway to clear Snake Island of invasion forces. Another Pantsir-C1 SAM system was hit.

In total, Ukraine’s forces eliminated 20 Russian invaders and destroyed a Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, a 23 mm anti-aircraft gun, a tactical truck, four motor vehicles, and two ammunition depots in Kherson region.

The enemy's naval group currently consists of five missile carriers and three large landing ships. Amid stormy weather, the enemy grouping made certain castling, but this hasn’t changed the essence of their task and the threat they pose. Sea mines are also more likely to drift toward the shore uncontrollably, the report concludes.
