Russians assaulting Sievierodonetsk, building up air defense in Kherson region

In Gomel region, the Belarusian forces equip fortifications, conduct electronic reconnaissance.

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published on Facebook.

"In Volyn and Polissya directions, certain units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus shield the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, equip fortifications in Gomel region, conduct electronic reconnaissance," the report reads.

In Siversky direction, the Russian units continue equip fortifications in the border areas of Kursk region, enhances the air defense system in Bryansk region.

In Kharkiv direction, the enemy fired intensively on the positions of Ukrainian troops, using tube and rocket artillery. The invaders conducted reconnaissance in the area of Rubizhne, but were unsuccessful.

According to the General Staff, the enemy did not take active action in Slovyansk direction. The main focus of the enemy's efforts is to accumulate resources in order to carry out a further offensive towards Slovyansk. The enemy fired on the Ukrainian positions and conducted air reconnaissance with the help of Orlan-10 UAV.

The invaders did not take active actions in Lyman direction.

At the same time, in Sievierodonetsk direction, the enemy conducts round-the-clock air reconnaissance by Orlan-10 UAV, performs assault operations in order to establish full control over Sievierodonetsk. The fighting continues, but the enemy is unsuccessful.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy launched airstrikes from helicopters near Yakovlivka and rocket strikes in the areas of Travneve, Dolomitne, Zaitseve, and New York.

On the eastern outskirts of Berestove, the Ukrainian soldiers successfully repulsed an enemy assault.

The General Staff informs that the invaders did not take active action in Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions. At the same time, there is an increase in the intensity of artillery shelling of Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka direction.

In Southern Buh direction, the enemy fired on Lymany, Lupareve, Nova Zoria, Tavriyske, Novohryhorivka, Bilousove, Kniazivka, Topolyne, Velyka Kostromka, and Osokorivka. The enemy enhances the engineering equipment of the first and second lines of defense.

The General Staff also notes that the invaders build up the air defense system in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region.

As reported, from February 24 to June 19, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 33,600 Russian personnel.
