Ukraine’s Armed Forces repulse assault on Toshkivka, battle for Sievierodonetsk ongoing

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully repulsed yet another enemy assault on Toshkivka, Luhansk region.

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 on June 15, published on Facebook.

As noted, in Volyn and Polissya directions, the Belarussian troops continue to equip their positions in the border areas of Pinsk district, Brest region. The threat of missile and air strikes from the territory of the Republic of Belarus remains.

In Siversky direction, the enemy fired mortars on the Ukrainian positions in the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. "To identify the position of our units and adjust the fire, the invaders conducted air reconnaissance. The enemy used electronic warfare systems to jam the control and communication system of Ukraine’s Defense Forces," reads the report.

In Kharkiv direction, the main efforts of the enemy are still focused on holding the occupied frontiers, preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops towards the state border of Ukraine north of Kharkiv.

In Slovyansk direction, the aggressor's main efforts are focused on continuing the offensive in the direction of Izium – Slovyansk. The enemy made futile attempts to assault on the direction of Dovhenke – Krasnopillia. The invaders tried to improve their tactical situation in the area of Dolyna. Ukrainian soldiers repulsed the attack and forced the invaders to retreat.

The enemy did not take active action in Lyman direction, fired artillery on Ukrainian units.

In Sievierodonetsk direction, Russian invaders continue to fire artillery and multiple rocket launchers on the positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces. The enemy units assault to establish full control over the town of Sievierodonetsk, the fighting continues. In Toshkivka, Ukrainian defenders successfully repulsed yet another enemy assault.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy fired on Ukrainian troops, using tube and rocket artillery. Ukrainian soldiers inflicted losses on the enemy during its offensive in the directions of Vasylivka – Yakovlivka and Vasylivka – Berestove. The enemy retreated.

The enemy did not take active action in Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions. In order to restrain actions and prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to other directions, the enemy fired mortars, tube and rocket artillery.

The enemy continues to hold defensive positions in the Southern Bug and Tavriysky directions. The invaders try to reinforce their positions near Bezvodne and Ishchenka.

In order to counter the technical means of reconnaissance of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, the Russian invaders deployed an electronic warfare system in the area of ​​Melitopol.

"According to the available information, changes have been revealed in the composition and size of the enemy units operating in the territory of Ukraine. Thus, a battalion tactical group from the 138th separate motorized infantry brigade of the western military district joined the grouping of the occupation forces,” the General Staff said.

In addition, a battalion tactical group from the operational reserve, which was redeployed to Pervomaisk from Kupyansk district, arrived at positions in Bakhmut direction. After the restoration of combat readiness, separate units of the 8th combined arms army of the southern military district were thrown in the area of Komyshuvakha and Popasna.

The enemy continues to use enterprises in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region to restore and repair damaged weapons and military equipment.

As reported, from February 24 to June 15, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 32,750 Russian personnel.
