Russians strike Vrubivka, enter Orikhove, storm Sievierodonetsk

Russian troops struck the village of Vrubivka in Ukraine's Luhansk region with TOS-1 heavy flamethrower systems and entered the village of Orikhove, destroying infrastructure.

Serhii Haidai, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"Information on casualties in Vrubivka in the Popasna community is being clarified. At night, the enemy used a heavy flamethrower system - many houses burned down. The enemy is destroying both the city and the chemical industry. A railway depot was damaged during another shelling attack yesterday. Prior to that, several industrial shops [were damaged]. The buildings of brick and research plants came under fire too," the statement said.

According to the regional military administration, in Lysychansk, enemy shells hit the territory of a glass factory. In addition, the shelling damaged a school and a culinary lyceum in the city.

Five residents of Lysychansk, who have been injured in recent days, have been taken to hospital in Dnipro and Lviv, Haidai added.

He also said that on June 10, the enemy used various types of weapons to fire at Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Ustynivka, Toshkivka, Zolote, Nyrkove, Hirske, Vrubivka, and Komyshuvakha.

Russian forces continue the offensive toward Novotoshkivske and Orikhove. The enemy is digging in on the northern outskirts of the village of Orikhove and continuing to carry out assault operations in Sievierodonetsk.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 14 enemy attacks and destroyed four tanks, two artillery pieces, 11 armored combat vehicles, three motor vehicles and an ammunition depot. Air defense forces shot down four Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles.
