Mykolaiv comes under enemy fire, battles raging in eastern and southern Ukraine – consolidated report

In the morning of June 7, 2022, the Russian military opened fire on the city of Mykolaiv. Hostilities are underway in Donetsk Region, Luhansk Region and Kherson Region.

The relevant statement was made in a consolidated report by military and civil administrations on the situation across Ukraine as of 08:00 a.m., June 7, 2022, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In Mykolaiv Region, Russian troops shelled the Bashtanka community last night. Two civilians were killed and one injured. The premises of district military administration and district council, city council, stadium and sports school were damaged.

In Kherson Region, Russians continue to shell the temporarily occupied areas with artillery and are attempting to regain control over the areas liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The situation is challenging in Beryslav District’s settlements. Humanitarian aid cannot be delivered there. Meanwhile, Russian invaders are making preparations to celebrate Russia Day in the region.

In Luhansk Region, battles for Sievierodonetsk are raging. Russians shelled a market, mining college and school in Lysychansk, leaving two persons injured. Rescuers had been extinguishing fire at the market within an area of 1,000 square meters for several hours. The enemy opened extensive fire on Zolote, having destroyed 13 houses. On June 6, 2022, Russians shelled Hirske, causing damage to 11 houses. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces repulsed enemy attacks in the direction of Novookhtyrka and Voronove. Near Bilohorivka, the enemy is using sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

In Donetsk Region, Russian troops are opening fire all over the front line with small arms, tanks, artillery, mortars, such multiple launch rocket systems as Grad, Smerch and Uragan. The Russian military launched missile strikes on Kurakhove and Avdiivka, and shelled Mykolaivka with cluster munitions. The following settlements also came under enemy fire: Bakhmut, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Chasiv Yar, New York, Bohoiavlenka, Pervomaiske and Netailove. Seventeen detached houses and five apartment blocks, industrial and social facilities were damaged. Over the past day, three civilians have been killed (including a child) and six injured (including two children).

In Dnipropetrovsk Region, Russian invaders shelled a local community at the border with Kherson Region with the Uragan multiple launch rocket systems, leaving one person injured and houses damaged.

In Sumy Region, Russians have shelled the city of Seredyna-Buda this morning. The enemy opened fire with mortar and artillery systems. At least six detached houses, household building and garage were damaged and caught fire. A power transmission line was also damaged. Reportedly, there are no casualties among civilians.

Last night Russian troops also opened fire on Kharkiv’s Kyivskyi District, having caused a fire in a residential house. One person was rescued from under the rubble. An administrative building also caught fire, but no casualties were reported. Over the past day, four civilians have been injured in Kharkiv Region. Two people were killed in Derhachi and Chornohlazivka.

In the rest of regions, it was rather calm last night.
