Enemy resumes offensive on Slovyansk, near Sviatohorsk

Backed by artillery units, the enemy resumed the offensive near the town of Sviatohorsk, suffering significant manpower, hardware, and equipment losses.

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, June 5, published on Facebook.

In Volyn and Polissya directions, Russian troops were not active. The armed forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to focus their main efforts on conducting reconnaissance and reinforcing positions.

In Siversky direction, the enemy guards the areas of the Ukrainian-Russian border in Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation.

The enemy fired mortars on civilian infrastructure in the area of ​​the village of Hremyach, Chernihiv region.

In Slobozhansky direction, Russian troops continue to fire on the units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces with tube artillery, MLRS, mortars, and tanks.

In order to support the offensive, the enemy rapidly rebuilds the transport and railway infrastructure in the temporarily occupied territories and continues to use electronic warfare means to hinder the use of drones by Ukrainian defenders.

In Kharkiv direction, the invaders were actively defending themselves. Their main efforts were focused on holding the occupied frontiers and border areas north of the city of Kharkiv.

In addition, Russian troops fired on civilian infrastructure of Tsyrkuny, Ruski Tyshky, Cherkaski Tyshky, Staryi Saltiv, launched missile strikes near the village of Korotych.

In Slovyansk direction, the enemy's efforts are focused on continuing the offensive towards Slovyansk.

According to the General Staff data, Russian troops fired on civilian infrastructure in the area of Chepil, Dibrivne, Virnopillia, Dovhenke, and Bohorodychne, and made unsuccessful attempts to conduct offensive and assault operations near the villages of Bohorodychne and Dovhenke.

In Donetsk direction, the enemy launched airstrikes on civilian infrastructure in the area of Slovyansk and Lysychansk.

In Lyman direction, backed by artillery units, the enemy resumed the offensive near the town of Sviatohirsk, lost many soldiers, weapons, and equipment.

The Russian military assaults towards the village of Staryi Karavan. The fighting continues.

In Sievierodonetsk direction, the enemy fired mortars, artillery, and MLRS on Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure in the area of Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Toshkivka, and Ustynivka.

In Bakhmut direction, the invaders fired on the area of Komyshuvakha, Mykolayivka, Bilohorivka, Pokrovske, and Dolomitne. The enemy used assault and army aircraft near Bakhmut and Berestove.

Russian troops carried out assault operations in the area of Bilohorivka and Mykolayivka. According to the General Staff data, the enemy suffered significant manpower and equipment losses. The enemy has no success, the fighting continues.

In Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions, the invaders did not conduct active hostilities.

The enemy fired on civilian infrastructure in the area of Zaytseve, New York, Toretsk, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Uspenivka, Orikhiv, and Kamyanske. The invaders launched strikes from operational-tactical and army aircraft near Novoselivka, New York, Marinka, and Kamyanske.

In the Southern Buh direction, the Russians fired on the Ukrainian positions, tried to conduct the counter-battery activities, conducted air reconnaissance with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.

The enemy used artillery in the area of Mykolauiv, Prybuzke, Luch, Blahodatne, Shyroke, and Tokareve.

Russian troops assaulted in the area of the village of Bila Krynytsia to regain the previously lost positions. Having come under fire inflicted by Ukraine’s Defense Forces, retreated to previous positions.

According to the General Staff data, the enemy continues to suffer significant losses.

In order to replenish their units, the invaders continue taking forced mobilization measures in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
