War crimes in Ukraine: ICC prosecutor urges Russia to cooperate

Karim Khan, a prosecutor with the International Criminal Court, expects cooperation from Russia in a probe into the war crimes committed in Ukraine.

That’s according to Politiko, Ukrinform reports.

Khan stressed that the “invitation is there” and that his “door is open,” so he will “keep knocking” on Russia’s door, too.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, almost 14,000 criminal proceedings were initiated into the crimes committed by Russian invasion forces and their allies in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war.

ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan and Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova will deliver a joint press conference in The Hague on May 31.
