Ukraine's Armed Forces liberated more than 1,000 settlements from Russian invaders after three months of the war with Russia.

Oleksandr Motuzianyk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, said this during a nationwide information marathon, Ukrinform reports.

"During these three months of the Ukrainian-Russian war, the Ukrainian army has liberated more than a thousand settlements from the Russians, to be precise - 1,016 settlements," he said.

Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine has been going on since February 24. The invaders are shelling and bombing cities, towns and villages in Ukraine. Martial law was imposed in Ukraine.

In April, Ukrainian defenders retook control of the Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. The Kharkiv region is now being liberated from Russian forces.

Almost UAH 1.5 billion was allocated from the reserve fund of the state budget for the reconstruction of the territories liberated from Russian troops.
