Ukraine Army repels 11 enemy attacks in JFO area

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have repulsed 11 enemy attacks in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by the Joint Forces Task Force on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

All over the defense line, Russian troops used combat aviation, multiple launch rocket systems, cannon artillery, tanks, mortar systems, launching missile and air strikes on civil infrastructure facilities and residential areas.

Russian invaders opened fire on 45 settlements in Donetsk Region and Luhansk Region, having damaged and destroyed 116 civilian objects, namely 106 residential houses, architectural lyceum dormitory, household buildings of two enterprises, agricultural machinery, shop, etc.

At least seven civilians were killed and eight injured in Russia’s shelling of Donetsk Region. The data on casualties in Luhansk Region are yet to be reported.

Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders from the JFO area have repulsed 11 enemy attacks and destroyed six Russian tanks, 10 armored fighting vehicles and six motor vehicles (including two with ammunition). The Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units shot down an enemy Su-25 aircraft and Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

In general, over the past week, the Ukrainian military have repelled 84 enemy attacks within the JFO area. They destroyed one Russian air defense missile system, 43 tanks, 20 artillery systems (including four multiple launch rocket systems), 79 armored fighting vehicles, seven special armored vehicles and 34 motor vehicles. The Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units shot down three Russian planes and 18 UAVs.
