UK ambassador: Burning Ukrainian history books is not denazification

United Kingdom Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons has emphasized that burning Ukrainian history books by Russian invaders is not denazification but the opposite.

The relevant statement was made by UK Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Burning Ukrainian history books is not denazification. It is the opposite,” Simmons wrote.

She posted a photograph depicting the burnt books, namely those of the history of Ukraine.

A reminder that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated earlier that Putin’s claim that his invasion of Ukraine was ‘de-Nazification’ is a grotesque lie.

According to the Ukrainian intelligence data, within the temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine, Russian invaders are seizing Ukrainian history and fiction books, which do not meet the Kremlin propagandist narratives.
