Russian troops continue to conduct the most active hostilities in eastern Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In the Donetsk direction, the enemy is attempting to break through the defenses of Ukrainian forces and reach the administrative borders of Luhansk Region. Russian invaders used all kinds of weapons, including aircrafts, to inflict damage to Ukrainian defense positions and civilian objects all over the contact line. In addition, the enemy launched air strikes on civil infrastructure facilities near Vrubivka, Luhansk Region, and Bakhmut, Donetsk Region.

Russian troops continue to prepare for the offensive in the Lyman direction.  With the support of aviation and artillery systems, the enemy carried out assault operations near such settlements as Lypove, Vasylivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk Region, but failed.

Russian invaders also launched an air strike on Mykilske, Volnovakha District, Donetsk Region.

Russian troops are preparing to resume the offensive in the Sloviansk direction. During the day, the enemy launched artillery strikes near such settlements as Velyka Komyshuvakha and Dovhenke, Kharkiv Region.

In the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhia directions, Russian invaders did not conduct offensive operations. The enemy opened fire on civil infrastructure facilities in such settlements as Donetsk Region’s Vremivka and Zaporizhzhia Region’s Olhivske, Zatyshshia, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka and Kamianske.

In the Southern Bug direction, Russian troops did not carry out active hostilities. The enemy focused efforts to maintain the occupied frontiers, conduct reconnaissance and harden positions. Russian invaders continued to fire at settlements, which are situated close to the contact line, with mortar and artillery systems.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly.

In the Siverskyi direction, Russian troops opened fire on such settlements as Semenivka, Bleshnia and Hirsk in Chernihiv Region. The enemy also fired missiles at Zhytomyr Region and Poltava Region.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian troops continued to fight to hold the occupied frontiers. In order to prevent Ukrainian forces from reaching the state border, the enemy launched air and artillery strikes on such settlements as Chornohlazivka, Prudianka, Dementiivka and Ternova.

According to the data from the General Staff, the military command of the Russian Federation continues to take covert mobilization measures in order to replace the Russian servicemen who suffered casualties in Ukraine. They are also working to recruit those who are staying within the temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In order to strengthen the groups, the enemy is building reserves from the 36th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District and actively using military transport aircrafts to transfer manpower and logistics to the areas bordering with Ukraine.

At the same time, Russian occupation forces are conducting the so-called ‘nationalization’ of telecommunications companies.
