The threat of Russian missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine remains as three cruise missile carriers with up to 24 missiles are ready to strike from the Black Sea.

"There is still a threat of enemy missile strikes on military and civilian objects in the territory of Ukraine launched from the Black Sea and the territory of the Republic of Belarus," Oleksandr Motuzianyk, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center–Ukrinform.

He pointed out the activity of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.

"Ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov continue to conduct reconnaissance and provide fire support to their units in the coastal direction. There are three carriers of Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles in the Black Sea with up to 24 missiles ready to strike," Motuzianyk said.

However, according to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to repel the enemy attacks. Over the past day, the air defense units of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 10 unmanned aerial vehicles of operational and tactical level, while the anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force destroyed one UAV and four cruise missiles.

As reported, two naval landing groups with a total of seven large landing ships have been stationed the north-western part of the Black Sea.
