Russian troops are suffering losses and retreating near Sievierodonetsk but do not stop. The Ukrainian military blew up railway bridges between Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk to hold the enemy back.

The relevant statement was made by Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Haidai on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Rashists are suffering losses and retreating near Sievierodonetsk but do not stop. In order to hold the occupiers back, Ukrainian defenders have blown up railway bridges between Rubizhne and the regional center,” Haidai wrote.

In his words, the enemy continues to carry out the offensive in Luhansk Region. Battles are raging almost day and night.

Yesterday, Russian troops were storming Toshkivka and Komyshuvakha. In Borivske, which is situated not far from Sievierodonetsk, they suffered losses and retreated.

“Russian occupiers are suffering significant losses in terms of manpower and military equipment. Rashist units are manned at 20% only. Russians cannot cope with the Popasna direction on their own and, thus, they are uniting with private military contractors. Thanks to Bilohorivka, there are not so many [Russian] orcs anymore,” Haidai noted.

According to Haidai, Ukrainian defenders blew up the railway bridges seized by Russian troops between Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk to prevent the occupation forces from advancing towards Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk.

A reminder that the Ukrainian military have repulsed 17 enemy attacks in the Luhansk and Donetsk directions over the past day, having destroyed three Russian tanks, one artillery system, six armored fighting vehicles and one motor vehicle.
