Russian troops retreating from Kharkiv to Izium

The enemy continues the offensive in the east. At the same time, it focuses its efforts on securing the withdrawal of its units from Kharkiv and preventing the units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces from advancing to the rear of the Russian troops near Izium.

"The Russian occupiers do not stop the offensive in the Eastern Operational Zone. The enemy continues to launch missile strikes on industrial infrastructure and fire on civilian objects in the territory of Ukraine," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook, informing about the situation at the front as of 18:00.

As noted, in Volyn and Polissya directions, the enemy did not take active action. Its main efforts were focused on shielding the state border in Brest and Gomel regions.

In Siversky direction, the enemy strengthens the protection of the Ukrainian-Russian border in Bryansk and Kursk regions. From the territory of the Russian Federation, the enemy fired artillery at civilian objects in Sumy region and launched an airstrike on the village of Tovstodubove.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy's main efforts are focused on securing the withdrawal of its units from Kharkiv and preventing the advance of Ukraine’s Defense Forces to the rear of the Russian troops concentrated near Izium. The enemy units fired on the Ukrainian positions in the area of Petrivka, Pytomnyk, Ruski Tyshky, and Ternova.

In Slovyansk direction, the enemy focused its main efforts on the offensive in the area of ​​ Bohorodychne but had no success. The invaders fired artillery in the areas of Nova Dmytrivka and Krasnopillia, launched air strikes in the area of Dolyna and Adamivka.

The enemy units continue to fire on Ukrainian troops in Donetsk and Tavriysky directions. The occupiers tried to establish control over the settlements of Novoselivka Druha, Kamyanka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka.

In Lyman direction, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to gain a foothold in the area of Oleksandrivka.

In Sievierodonetsk direction, the invaders heavily fire on Rubizhne.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out assault operations in the direction of Zolote and Komyshuvakha but failed. The enemy shells Toshkivka and Orikhove.

In Avdiivka direction, with the support of artillery, the invaders conduct offensive operations in the direction of Kamyanka and Novoselivka but have no success.

According to the General Staff, in Mariupol, the main efforts of the invaders were focused on blocking Ukrainian units in the area of the Azovstal steelworks, the shelling continues.

In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy did not conduct active hostilities, firing artillery and mortars on Ukraine’s Defense Forces and conducting air reconnaissance.

As noted, the enemy continues taking illegal actions against the local population in the temporarily occupied territories. Measures of the administrative-police regime are underway, the counter-intelligence regime has been strengthened. Unreasonable detention of civilians, especially those with an active pro-Ukrainian stance, is ongoing.
