Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the Mariupol mayor, has released a video showing thousands of residents of the besieged Ukrainian port city of Mariupol standing in line for food to be distributed by the Russian invaders.

He posted the video on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Andriushchenko also published a photo with garbage bags, where an elderly woman is looking for something.

"The humanitarian situation in reality and propaganda. Reality: in the video - daily queues for food at the Metro [shopping mall]. There are as many as 3,000 food kits per 150,000 population per day from the occupiers. In the photo: the elderly are forced to collect leftovers in the garbage due to being unable to get help and food at the 'humanitarian aid headquarters'," the mayor's adviser wrote.

In the video, many people can be seen standing in front of the former Metro sopping center, which has now become a so-called "help center." The facade of this building has a new sign with the inscription: "Help Center. United Russia. Information, dining room, medical care."
