A video from inside a ghetto, a filtration camp in the village of Bezimenne, where men from Mariupol have been detained for almost four weeks, has been released.

"Mariupol. Immensely important. We ask to share [the video]. Transforming into a ghetto! Filtration camps in the village of Bezimenne are transformed into a real ghetto for Mariupol residents. This is the most horrible story we need to tell the whole world. We received all the details and a unique video from inside. Without exaggeration, this is a new page in Russia's war crime happening right now," Petro Andriushchenko, adviser to Mariupol mayor, posted on Telegram and released the video.

He noted that the invaders had taken forcibly all men out of Huhlino, Myrnyi and Volonterivka districts almost four weeks ago. About 2,000 people were placed in the village of Bezimenne and in the village of Kozatske, Novoazovsk district. A formal reason was filtration measures. No personal belongings were allowed. Passports and other identification documents were seized.

The men were placed in a school and a club. The video shows the school in the village of Bezimenne. For the fourth week, the men have been held forcibly there. They are not allowed to leave the school without a convoy of Russian troops. The detention conditions are terrible. People are forced to sleep on the floor in the corridors. There is no proper medical care. The first case of tuberculosis was recorded among the people in this school. The school gym was turned into an isolation ward, where a large number of people were locked up without medical care.

In the video released, a man says that the school has only one washbasin with cold water. The only toilet is located outside and a huge queue is formed there in the morning.

According to Andriushchenko, this filtration camp is inspected twice a day: in the morning and at 21:00. If any of the detainees is absent, the invaders promise to intensify torture and shoot other detainees.

The detainees are given thin broth three times a day. There is no hygiene, so the incidence of diseases among detainees rises.

The mayor's adviser also informed that the first case of a man's death was recorded in the filtration camp in the village of Kozatske. The man died as the aggressors refused to call an ambulance.

The men do not get their documents back, receiving a filtration certificate instead. However, even this certificate does not entitle them to leave the camp. There were some attempts, but the men were detained and beaten. The last unsuccessful attempt was to escape and run to the UN and Red Cross evacuation buses, which the detainees saw from the windows.

In addition, all men, including the sick and people with disabilities, are involved in landscaping works in Bezimenne village and Novoazovsk town under the escort of the Russian military. "As for the future, the occupiers emphasize that they have not yet decided whether to use detainees as labor force to clear away rubble in Mariupol or to make them join the occupiers’ army," Andriushchenko said.

He reminded that on Monday, May 2, it was announced that the men would take part in May 9 "parade" in Mariupol as "prisoners of war", for which they would be dressed in Ukrainian military uniform.

"All this once again shows the realities of the occupation. Transformation of Mariupol into a real ghetto. And the world again keeps silent. That is why we ask everyone, particularly the media, to share this information. All videos are authentic with no edits made, provided by the owners for free use. Take it. Share. We have to save Mariupol residents from annihilation," Andriushchenko summed up.

According to Ukrainian intelligence data, Russian invaders intend to make Mariupol the center of "celebrations" on May 9. To this end, the city streets are urgently cleared from rubble, dead bodies, and unexploded ordnance. In addition, a large-scale propaganda campaign is underway.

Mariupol suffers one of the biggest humanitarian catastrophes due to Russia's aggression. The invaders bomb unarmed residents and block the delivery of humanitarian aid.

About 100,000 civilians remain in the city, which continues to be defended by Azov Regiment soldiers, National Guard members, marines and motorized riflemen.
