Russia’s Zoopark radar system destroyed in Chernihiv Region

The Ukrainian military destroyed Russia’s counter-battery radar system Zoopark during battles in Chernihiv Region.

The relevant statement was made by the North Territorial Defense Forces Regional Command on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Russia’s Zoopark-1M counter-battery radar system was destroyed in Chernihiv Region. Now it’s just a pile of scrap metal,” the report states.

A reminder that Russia’s Zoopark counter-battery system is designed to detect enemy fire positions (multiple rocket launcher systems, artillery and mortar fire positions, tactical missile launcher and anti-aircraft defense units, etc.), calculate the trajectory of projectiles and missiles, adjust fire and monitor the air space.
