On May 3, Russians launched 34 missile and bomb strikes on the towns of Luhansk region. Two people were killed and two more were injured.

"Yesterday, each of our towns suffered from the enemy. Four settlements withstood missile and bomb strikes. The Russians do not just destroy Popasna, they remove it from the map of Luhansk region as a settlement. The enemy launched 34 attacks on the region’s residential areas. Two people were killed – a woman from Lysychansk and a man from Popasna. Two women from Lysychansk were injured," Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai posted on Telegram.

He said that 10 artillery shellings of Lysychansk, eight – of Sievierodonetsk, and 10 – of Popasna and Hirske communities each were recorded.

As a result, 45 houses and other objects were damaged: four houses in Sievierodonetsk, 12 – in Lysychansk, seven – in Orikhove, six – in Rubizhne, four – in Hirske, four – in Popasna, and two – in Vrubivka.

In Lysychansk, the Luhansk regional medical center for dangerous infectious diseases and one of the schools were on fire. The only school in Syrotyne and a shopping center in Sievierodonetsk were destroyed.

As Haidai informed, 12 enemy attacks were repulsed at the front. Six tanks, five artillery systems (including three MLRS), 15 armored combat vehicles, and nine enemy vehicles were destroyed.

The air defense units shot down one cruise missile and three Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles.

As reported, Luhansk region is under constant attack of Russian army. Many residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, educational institutions were destroyed in the region and all hospitals were damaged.

On February 24, the Russian Federation launched a new phase of the eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion. Russian invaders shell and bomb peaceful Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages, torturing and killing civilians.
